James UreThe Question We’re All Asking
At the heart of all parenting is a simple, vulnerable question: Am I doing enough? Over the past ten years, as fathers and business leaders, we have been plagued by this question. We have powerful, loving intentions, but we often fail to turn these intentions into reality for the people we love. Our journey to answer this question has taken us on a deep dive into our childhood issues, as well as into massive amounts of research into the experiences of other parents and leaders in business, government, and education. All of our personal experiences and research have resulted in a simple discovery that is massively increasing our confidence, energy, and life force. We think it can have the same power in your life. We can’t wait to tell you about it. (Keynote with Ben Brown) James Ure is President & Co-founder of Williamsburg Learning. As chief architect of The Williamsburg Curriculum, James built a nationally accredited program that has taught thousands of students how to think—not what to think—and empowers teachers to facilitate transformational learning experiences. James has taught government and literature on the high school and college levels and was named one of the top five online teachers in America. James studied liberal arts in college and, inspired by an internship in the State House of Representatives, went on to earn a law degree from South Texas College of Law. He graduated summa cum laude with an emphasis in Constitutional Law. James and his partner Ange live by their own rules and have fun creating what they call a “LEAF” family with their kids—a family that is Loving, Easy, Adventurous, and Fun. They spend 4-6 weeks a year adventuring together around the world. James enjoys fitness, mindfulness, and yoga, and has completed the Boston Marathon. |

Joe DykeHelping Your Students Conquer The Math ACT/SAT
So you’ve spent the last decade helping your child learn math. Hundreds of hours of flash cards and worksheets and $$$ on textbooks and now all that effort is about to be judged by the “supreme math court,” the ACT/SAT test. This judgment day can be a daunting and stressful time for your student and you too– hardest of all is that their time to complete their preparation now seems so limited, counting down the days and months before the test. How do you maximize the time that your student has to get the best result possible? The answer is surprisingly simple - and I’ve seen it help every age of student with every math background find success on the ACT/SAT. If you have teenage students, no matter how strong or weak their math abilities, this presentation is for you. "Homeschool Essentialism: The Power Of Doing Less But Better" Essentialism isn't about getting more done in less time. It's about getting only the right things done. We've taken Greg McKeown's teachings in his book Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit Of Less, and applied them to every aspect of homeschooling our 3 kids. Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It's a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential in our lives and in our homeschooling and then eliminating everything that is not, so that we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter. This process and journey has been amazing and we want to share with you the principles of Essentialism as well as discuss the benefits and challenges of our experience and how you can make it work for your unique life and homeschool vision and goals. Being raised by public school teachers, Joe grew to love all things learning. After graduation with a degree in Middle East Studies Arabic, he was selected to teach in a high-needs high school in Arizona. He became disheartened by the public system and the traditional math he had to teach. Through all these struggles, he and Emily developed the Discovery Method and how to change the student math experience. After three years of teaching, he joined Emily in 2013 in growing Math Inspirations and is living his dream of being a husband, father and helping homeschooling families around the world. |

We will discuss strategies to change our use of technology and introduce the production/consumption ratio. Nephi is first and foremost a husband and father. Nephi has traveled all over the world leading teams, negotiating contracts and deals, and working with government regulatory agencies and manufacturing facilities. As fun as this has been, his true passion lies in the area of wealth education. He regularly teaches adults and youth about money, wealth, entrepreneurship, life balance, and personal relationships. Nephi finds that he feels most fulfilled when living his purpose in helping others change their mentality about wealth. Nephi is the author of Katie Bell and the Wishing Well and The Big Startup Guidebook for Kids. |
Kent & Amy BowlerStand in Your Greatness
At first, Abigail Adams, Henry Knox and George Washington all seemed rather ordinary, probably a lot like you or anyone else, yet their impact was Revolutionary as they discovered the truth of who they were and overcame ostentatious obstacles. The fact is that you are needed as Heroes now even more so than 244 years ago. Come learn a simple tool to stand in your greatness. Kent & Amy Bowler want you to win as homeschool parents! We’ve been doing it from the get go for 27 years, 7 kids and now 5 grandkids. We’ve been teaching youth in classes and projects for 2 decades and we’ve been training parents how to be better mentors in their homes for over a decade. And we’re still doing it (our youngest is 5!). We’re the real deal and want to share the secrets we’ve learned along the way so that you have more joy and success in your home. Let’s talk! Find us at the Revolutionary Heroes booth. |
